    Where can I shoot fireworks?
    Fireworks can’t be discharged on public property, in public streets or in the central business district, which is bonded on the north by Woodside Street, on the South by Sutherland Street, on the east by Ash Street and on the west by Maple Street.
    What fireworks cannot be shot in the city limits?
    Bottle rockets, lanterns and sky lanterns and metal sparklers.
    What should I do with spent fireworks?
    It is expected that all residents will clean up after all fireworks and dispose of them properly. Proper disposal consists of wetting fireworks down before placing them in trash receptacles.

    Community celebration
    The McPherson Fourth of July community celebration will start at 8:30 p.m. July 4 with an ice cream social sponsored by Nex-Tech Wireless at west picnic shelter at Wall Park.
    The fireworks sponsored by NCRA will be at 9:45 p.m. The event is sponsored by the McPherson Convention and Visitors Bureau.
