  • Jeffrey Paul Davis was handed a 34-month prision sentence today in the DUI case involving a December accident which left a McPherson teacher in a coma.
The ruling came down during a sentencing hearing Monday afternoon.
Davis, 60, of Heseria, Calif., had entered a plea of no contest to a charge of aggravated battery while driving under the influence in the Dec. 20, 2013 accident that involved Mija Stockman and one other vehicle driven by Pamela Pjesky, 57, of rural McPherson.
Davis will receive six months for time already served, plus he could face an five-month early release for good behavior, making his total time in prison 23.1 months.
More details on the hearing can be found in Tuesday's McPherson Sentinel.
