  • McPherson firefighters responded to a small apartment fire around 8 p.m. Wednesday night in the 1500 block of North Main Street.

  • McPherson firefighters responded to a small apartment fire around 8 p.m. Wednesday night in the 1500 block of North Main Street.
    McPherson fire chief Jeff Deal reported that the fire was contained to one apartment in The First Place Apartment complex, 1500 N. Main Street, and that no one was injured.
    There was some concern over a dog that had become trapped in the apartment during the fire, but firefighters rescued the animal.
    No details as to origin or amount of damage were available as of Wednesday night.
    McPherson EMS and police officers responded to the incident, as well.
