  • Gerdson Lubin, Port au Prince, Haiti, has signed a letter of intent to play men's soccer at Bethany College for the 2014-2015 academic year.
Lubin, a midfielder and forward, comes to Bethany from the University of Saint Mary, where he earned second team All-Conference honors. Last season, Lubin started 12 games, leading the Spires with 10 goals while tallying one assist.
Prior to his time at the University of Saint Mary, Lubin attended Cloud County Community College in Concordia, and North Miami Senior High in Miami, Florida.
"We are very excited to welcome Gerdson to our team," Swede coach Shane Taylor said. "He is a proven student-athlete and will add experience, potency, and depth to our squad. His skill, work ethic, and power are what set him apart and we cannot wait to see those things on our field day in and day out."
Lubin is the son of Genel Lubin. He has a 3.04 grade point average, and is deciding on his major at Bethany.
