The 73rd Miss Kansas, Hannah Marie Wagner, will be holding a free and open to the public show at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Cedars Conference Center.

The 73rd Miss Kansas, Hannah Marie Wagner, will be holding a free and open to the public show at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Cedars Conference Center.
Wagner, a student at Wichita State University will make more than 400 appearances around the state in her year of service as Miss Kansas.
Wagner was a double preliminary winner in the swimsuit and talent portions of the 2015 Miss Kansas Pageant. For her talent she performed ballet en point of “Swan Lake.” She has 17 years of dance training and an additional six years of training in music and theater.
She is a WSU Presidential Scholar, a Jester Award recipient, and member of the National Honor Society and of the Alpha Phi Sorority. After graduating in the top 10 percent of her class at Wichita East High School, she received an $8,000 merit scholarship from WSU.
Wagner has helped raise more than $75,000 for Children’s Miracle Network and more than $15,000 for the American Heart Association. She has also completed more than 963 hours of community service in the past year.
Wagner’s platform is “The Bold Initiative: Stand Up, Stand Out, Be Bold!” and includes a cross-generational mentoring initiative that identifies “8 to be Great” core skills and attributes to be successful in the workplace, with networking sessions for both young and seasoned professionals.
Wagner will hold the Miss Kansas title for the next year.
