The Cedars is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Gustafson as Vice President for Advancement. In this position, Gustafson will be working with Lowell Flory to develop and execute programming related to financial resources and communication with Cedars’ constituents.
“I am honored to work with Steve as we plan for the future,” said Carma Wall, CEO. “The good will he brings to us with his multifaceted talents and connections within the community is invaluable.”
Gustafson recently retired from McPherson College after 37 years as a professor and an administrator. His most recent position was Vice President for Advancement, in which he was responsible for the College’s annual fund, a comprehensive campaign, and constituent relations.
“I am excited to be a part of the Cedars community, helping to provide the resources necessary to meet the needs of both current and future residents. The Cedars is one of the premiere senior living communities in the state,” Gustafson said. “Our goal is to continue to offer that excellence of service in meeting the needs of those who call the Cedars home.”
Dating back to 1893, the Cedars is the oldest continuously operating health care community in the state of Kansas. The mission of the Cedars is to provide comprehensive health and wellness services and quality living options within a compassionate Christian environment.
