Chelsea and Austin Baker Wedding

Chelsea Lynn Potter and Austin Reed Baker, both of McPherson, were united in marriage Oct. 3, 2009, at Swan Court in Lakeside Park.

Municipal court judge William Mills performed the double-ring ceremony.

The bride was escorted by her father, Steve Potter, and step-father, Jeff Krahl. She wore a white, strapless, organza, knee-length dress with metallic embroidery and beading. A watermelon-colored ribbon tied at the waist accented the dress as well. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of light and dark pink Livingstone daisies, pink Hydrangeas and yellow spiky dahlias.

Maid of honor was Jennifer Campbell of Moundridge. Bridesmaids were Jessica Unruh of McPherson and Kasey Shober of Manhattan.

The bride’s attendants wore strapless, knee-length cotton, sateen dresses with rouching at the bust and waist. The maid of honor’s dress was watermelon colored. The bride’s maids’ dresses were clover-colored.

The best man was Levi Baker of McPherson. Groomsmen were Travis McAllister and Keith Unruh, both of McPherson.

Corey Potter of Pittsburg was the usher.

Kennedi Fiedler of Moundridge and Mariah Whitney of McPherson were flower girls. Chase Campbell of Moundridge, Daken Baker and Myles Baker, both of McPherson, were ring bearers.

A wedding reception was hosted by Kelli Fielding, Heidi Gawanda and Paula Purcell, all of McPherson. Brent Sanders of Hillsboro was the D.J.

Kara Fielding of McPherson served as the gift table attendant and guest book attendant.

A rehearsal dinner, hosted by Greg and Penny Baker, was held Oct. 2 at Lakeside Cabin.

Following a wedding trip to Eureka Springs, Ark., the couple is at home in McPherson.

Chelsea is the daughter of Jeff and Lynda Krahl and Steve and Jennifer Potter, all of McPherson.

She is a graduate of McPherson High School and Sidney’s Hairdressing College. She is currently employed as a cosmetologist at Integrity Salon and Spa.

Austin is the son of Greg and Penny Baker of McPherson. He is a graduate of McPherson High School and Salina Area Vo-Tech. He is currently employed as a Railhand at Piping Technology.
