Larry Eugene Marker will celebrate his 70th birthday on March 11. He was born on March 11, 1940, in Nickerson to Lloyd and Sylvia Marker. He married Charlene M. Turpin (deceased) on Aug. 30, 1963. He is blessed with one daughter: Kim Unruh, who resides in McPherson with her husband Tim and their three children: Taylor Krier (age 15), Paige (age 8) and Abbigail (age 6).
Larry graduated from Sterling College with a Business Administration degree. He has worked in the financial field most of his career. He served in the Air National Guard from 1962-1968. He now enjoys fishing, hunting, attending grandkids’ sporting activities, riding his Harley Davidson and traveling with his significant other, Janet Warkentine of Salina.
