Rutha Teter celebrated her 70th birthday on Aug. 25. Rutha was born in Fairland, Okla., and moved to central Kansas as a young girl. Rutha’s first husband was Chalmers G. Spinden of Burns. After becoming widowed, Rutha married A.H. “Pete” Teter of El Dorado. Rutha has three children: Sharon, Chalmers and Karen; one grandchild, Norahs; and two great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Shaylyn.
