The MAC Wrestling Club was back in action last week in Goddard and Great Bend.

At the Young Guns Shootout Invitational at Goddard, Landon Thompson and Wayne Hitt Jr. led the way with a pair of second place finishes. Thompson competed in 12-and-under division at 105 pounds, while Hitt Jr. wrestled in the 14-and-under division at 220 pounds.

Elijah Clarke finished third in the 10-and-under class at 120 pounds, and Kynasen Girard took fourth in the 6-and-under division at 46 pounds.

Five MAC wrestlers took first place in Great Bend — four of the five wrestled in the 8-and-under division.

Noah Garcia (49 pounds), Brady Rinker (55 pounds), Jaxon Chrislip (58 pounds) and Bryson VanEaton (64 pounds) finished first in the 8-and-under division. Joey Miller in the 10-and-under division also placed first in the 95 pound class.

Brock Richardson finished second in the 10-and-under division at 90 pounds; Jake Evans was third in the 6-and-under class at 46 pounds.

Logan Heskett and Keagan Newhouse both placed fourth. Heskett in the 6-and-under group at 46 pounds, and Newhouse in the 8-and-under division at 55 pounds.

There’s no rest for the MAC Wrestling Club as they’re back in action on Saturday in the Manhattan Invitational Tournament at Manhattan High School. They follow that up at the Newton Novice Tournament at Newton High School the following Sunday.
