INMAN — Mason Thiessen dropped 16 points as the Inman High School boys basketball team picked up a 40-34 win over Trinity Catholic Friday night on homecoming.

The game was close throughout, but the Teutons were able to stay one step ahead the entire night.

Inman led 7-5 after the first quarter and 19-14 at halftime. The Teutons held a seven point lead entering the fourth quarter, and left with a six point win.

Taiten Winkel scored 8 points, with 6 of those points coming from 3-pointers. Three other Teutons scored 5 points.

The girls game was a tale of two halves. Inman jumped out to a 13-10 halftime lead, but Trinity answered the bell by outscoring Inman 36-27 in the second half.

The turning point was a disastrous third quarter, which saw Trinity outscore Inman 21-7.

Ashtyn Schroeder and Olivia Clark scored 11 points a piece to lead Inman.
