INMAN — A lock down defensive performance coupled by some standout offensive performance propelled the Inman High School boys basketball team to a monster win over Berean Academy Friday night in Inman.
The Teutons held Berean Academy to three first quarter points, and outscored the visitors 17-10 in the fourth quarter to pull out a 56-41 win.
“Just a great all around effort again tonight by the kids,” head coach Brett Froese said. “Really got out in transition well and forced the pace in our favor. It was a huge week both mentally and physically for us. The kids were exhausted after the game and so am I. Been a great week for us.”
Ethan DeWitt was unstoppable with 21 points and six rebounds. Payton Froese had eight points and nine assists. Coach Froese praised Taiten Winkel’s perimeter defense and Lucas Barlow’s inside presence.
Mason Thiessen rounded out the night by scoring 18 points.
The Inman girls did not have such luck as they fell behind early and could not recover. MaKayla Michael scored nine points as the Teutons fell 52-34.
Inman is back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Remington.
