Twenty-six students from Canton-Galva High School attended the State Leadership Conference for Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, in Topeka on March 29, 30 and 31.

At the conference, themed “A Legacy of Leadership,” members and advisors celebrated the 75th year Anniversary of FBLA and 65th year Anniversary of Kansas FBLA.

Members competed in competitive events ranging from tests to giving speeches as well as giving presentations March 30.

Later that evening members attended the March of Dimes activity where they heard the story of mother who gave birth to a premature baby and attend the dance to help raise funds for March of Dimes.

The next day members who qualified for finals competed and following finals was the Awards ceremony where eight members qualified for the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California June 29 through July 2. Those members include Kelli Nightingale, Kaylee Littrell, Reed Wiens, Abigail Ballantyne, Emily Ballantyne, Autumn Colgin, Alex Koehn, and Ashley Nightingale.
