The effort will benefit McPherson Hospital in the construction of a new physician clinic building.
The McPherson Healthcare Foundation announced the successful completion of Phase 1 of their “Caring for the Future” capital campaign. The effort will benefit McPherson Hospital in the construction of a new physician clinic building.
One challenge that remained for the first phase was securing a $750,000 grant from the Mabee Foundation of Tulsa, Oklahoma. To secure this grant, the remainder of the campaign’s $5 million goal needed to be raised before April 12.
Officials from the Mabee Foundation have notified the healthcare foundation of the grant authorization after verifying documentation that enough funds and pledges have been raised to meet the goal.
“We live in an amazing community,” said Amy Bower, director of development for the McPherson Healthcare Foundation. “The incredible support from all of our generous donors for this project is appreciated. We thank them for their commitment to healthcare in our community.”
Rob Monical, CEO of McPherson Hospital, said, “We are truly grateful for the support shown to the foundation and the hospital throughout this first phase of our campaign. This physician clinic facility will provide convenient access to our physicians and related services while freeing up badly-needed space for other hospital operations.”
Officials say they will now begin the process of scheduling a ground-breaking and moving ahead with a timeline for construction.
