The Lindsborg Community Hospital recently announced the return of orthopedic services in the line-up of specialty clinics offered to patients of the Smoky Valley communities, effective May 5.
A part of the Salina Regional Orthopedic Clinic team, Christopher Blair, DO, is a fellowship-trained hip and knee replacement surgeon with a focus on soft tissue preservation and rapid recovery. With advanced training in hip and knee replacement surgery as well as joint preservation, he provides comprehensive care for a wide range and severity of joint disorders.
Blair received his medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center, Fort Worth, Texas. He completed residency at Broward Health Medical Center, Fort Lauderdale, and Hip and Knee Replacement fellowship at Hedley Orthopaedic Institute, Phoenix.
Blair performs several types of hip and knee procedures, including arthroscopy, minimally invasive knee replacement, and micro-invasive hip replacement.
Blair has been extensively trained on both the Direct Superior and SuperPath hip replacement procedures, the latter of which combines two tissue sparing techniques, PATH and SuperCAP, for minimally invasive total hip arthroplasty.
Blair will provide care in general orthopedics, including hip and knee procedures, fracture care, carpal tunnel, trigger finger, and arthroscopy.
Of the return to an orthopedic specialty clinic in Lindsborg, Administrator Larry Van Der Wege commented, “Whether from injury or typical wear and tear, almost all of us will need an orthopedic specialty physician at some point in our lives. We are excited to, once again, provide a clinic with consultation and procedures right here in Lindsborg. The partnership between Dr. Blair and his Salina Regional Orthopedic team in Salina and our team at LCH will provide quality, integrated care for those of us in the Smoky Valley needing orthopedic services.”
Blair will begin seeing patients at Lindsborg Community Hospital the first and third Friday of each month beginning May 5.
You may schedule an appointment by contacting Salina Regional Orthopedic Clinic at 785-452-7366 and ask to be seen in Lindsborg. Family Health Care Clinic will schedule for patients referred by FHCC providers.
