LINDSBORG — The Bethany College Department of Art and Mingenback Art Center Gallery presents a senior art exhibition by Jenna Mall opening April 22 and continuing through April 27.

There will be a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. with a gallery talk at 2:30 p.m. on April 23.

Mall started doing photography in 4-H in Clay Center when she was seven years old.

She grew up on a small farm surrounded by beautiful fields and pasture land and art became a way to capture great memories and scenery.

She creates using oil paint, wood, metal, clay, photography, and mixed media to tell a story.

“My past started to bleed into my work very slowly at first, until it became almost the most influential thing directing my art,” she said.

Mall makes her work open for different interpretations with the hope that people understand how much the memories, animals, barns, and beautiful landscapes influence us all.

The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. Mingenback Art Center Gallery, located at the corner of Olsson and Second streets in Lindsborg, is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
