The McPherson County Commission met Monday morning for their regular meeting, and here’s what you need to know:

The issue: Public Works projects

Background: Tom Kramer, director of public works, presented the agreement with Kirkham Michael and the Kansas Department of Transportation for design services on the signage project in the northeast corner of McPherson County. The total cost of $34,135.48 will be paid for with federal funds.

County action: Commissioners approved the agreement.

The Issue: KAC certification

Background: The 42nd annual Kansas Association of Counties conference will be held Nov. 14, 15 and 16 in Overland Park. To prepare, commissioners must complete a certification of voting delegates so they will be eligible to cast votes at the conference.

County action: Commissioners decided to designate Chairman Ron Loomis as voting delegate, Keith Becker as first alternate and Linus Linaweaver as second alternate.
