"He is good and I am very excited to have him join McPherson College and our basketball program."

Chamaje Barideaux, a 5-foot-11 shooting guard from New Iberia, Louisiana, is the latest player to sign a letter of intent to continue his education and men's basketball career at McPherson College, head coach Tim Swartzendruber has announced.

"There are a lot of things that make signing Chamaje special," remarked Swartzendruber. "First, he comes highly recommended from one of our former star players, Marlon Dominique. Second, Chamaje's high school coach was Marlon's high school coach, and third, he is an extremely talented player. Chamaje will compete for varsity minutes as a freshman. He is good and I am very excited to have him join McPherson College and our basketball program."

Chamaje Barideaux (SG, 5-11, 175, New Iberia, La. / New Iberia Senior HS) was a four-year letter winner for head coach Todd Russ' Yellow Jackets at New Iberia Senior High School. He was twice named to the All-Acadiana, All-District and All-Metro First Teams, earning all-district MVP honors as a junior. Also a two-time Best of the Teche selection, Barideaux was named to the all-state second team as a senior.

He averaged 21 points, four assists and three rebounds per game.

Barideaux is the son of Chilon Barideaux of New Iberia, Louisiana, and is anticipating majoring in Psychology.
