It's that time again to jump on a bike and ride like the wind. The Mowbray Metric will have three different rides to choose from this weekend.

The first ride, the Short Stack, will be at 8 a.m. on Saturday, starting at Park School, 210 N. Elm St. in McPherson. A breakfast can be purchased and the event is self SAG. There is no fee to participate in this 32-mile road ride.

The Storm the Castle event is not for the faint of heart. This 50-mile dirt and gravel route begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning in at Riverside Park in Lindsborg and ends as the name indicates at the top of Coronado Heights, with lunch served at the castle.

This trek is a hilly challenge, with a water and snack stop at the halfway point. This year the ride starts in the morning to make it easier for those who have traveled to participate in the Sunday morning Mowbray ride.

Registration is $35 for those who missed the early registration deadline. Riders do have the option of registering at the ride.

The namesake ride, Mowbray Metric, will be held at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday with a 7 a.m. check-in at Park School, 210 N. Elm St. in McPherson. Organizers request that riders not use the church parking lot in the area. Parking is available at Euclid and Elm Streets.

The road ride has the option of a 20-, 40- or 62-mile ride. After completion, shower are available at Park School and a full lunch, including homemade ice cream, will be provided at the air-conditioned Senior Center, 112 E. Euclid St. in McPherson.
