The Central Christian College women’s soccer team fell to 1-3 on the season with a 4-1 loss on Tuesday evening.

SHAWNEE, Okla. — The Central Christian College women’s soccer team fell to 1-3 on the season with a 4-1 loss on Tuesday evening, on the road, against the Oklahoma Baptist University Bison.

For the Tigers, their offensive woes continued as the Tigers managed just four shots, only two of them on net, while the Bison peppered the Tiger net with 37 shots, placing 16 on frame. The lone Tiger goal came in the came in the second half with the Bison leading 4-0, on an unassisted shot by Isabel Sierra with under a minute left in regulation.

The Tigers hung tough with Bison for the first 45 minutes, keeping them off the score sheet at the halfway point. In the second half, the Bison got things going offensively, finally cracking the Tiger defense, just two minutes into the half. They added another goal just a minute later to break the game open and led 2-0. The Tigers regrouped defensively, and held the Bison scoreless for the next 20

minutes, but in the 80thminute, the Bison struck again to push the lead out to 3-0. They added a fourth insurance goal in the 84th minute, before giving up a goal to the Tigers in the 90th minute of play.

Goldie Bougher was in net for the Tigers. She faced 16 shots on goal from the Bison, and came away with 12 saves on the night, but took the loss. Now at 1-3, the Tigers will be back on the road this weekend, when they travel to Dakota Wesleyan on Friday, and then finish up their weekend road trip at Mount Marty College on Saturday.
