CANTON — Kyle Henri Colburn, 24, of Canton, died Sept. 10, 2017 in rural Hays from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.
He was a student at NCK Technical College in Hays and was a former employee of The Bradbury Company, Moundridge.
He was born July 6, 1993 in Newton, the son of Charles R. and Julee (Jorgensen) Colburn. He was a graduate of Canton-Galva High School and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Canton.
Survivors include his parents, Charles and Julee Colburn, Canton; a sister, Katie (Jason) Cessna, Moundridge; paternal grandparents, Robert and Betty Colburn, Canton; maternal grandfather, Harvey Jorgensen, Lexington, Nebraska and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
His maternal grandmother, Gayle Jorgensen, cousins Ryan Lienemann and Drew Jorgensen and an uncle, Jeff Hasty, preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13 at Olson’s Mortuary, Canton.
Memorials have been established with the Canton Fire Department or NCK Tech College, Hays Campus, welding scholarship in Kyle‘s name, in care of the mortuary.
