It is “back-to-school” time, and the McPherson Public Library has a reading challenge for adults and teens to highlight the 3 Rs: Readin’, ‘Ritin’, and ‘Rithmetic.
To participate, patrons can check out, read, and rate four non-fiction books from the adult or teen area. When participants return a completed chart, they may choose a prize. And, just like in the classroom, this challenge has “extra credit”, as a second chart can be completed for an additional prize, if desired.
The challenge started the first week of September, and will continue until the end of October. The last day to claim prizes is Oct. 31.
