Richard Walter Scott passed away Sept. 11, 2017 in Salina at the age of 74. He was born Oct. 24, 1942.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Richard is survived by his wife of 53 years Geraldine (Breault) Scott, daughters Richelle Knotts of Wichita, Tammy Britting of Autryville, North Carolina and Kristi Scott of Moundridge, grandchildren Richie (Valerie), Aaron, Jeremy, Mariah (Derek), Marc, Colton, Derek, Cambry, and Dawson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Bertha Scott, brother Wayne Scott, sisters Lois Cook and Sharon Frasier.
Richard was a graduate of Concordia High and served in the National Guard. He worked as a market manager for 30 years before retiring from AGCO. He was a quintessential family man, devoting a lifetime to the benefit of his family.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., with vigil-rosary at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15 at Ryan Mortuary.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church with Fr. Luke Thielen as celebrant. Burial will be 2 p.m. at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Aurora.
