1. Learn Swedish
From 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 18, beginning Swedish classes will start in the Swedish Heritage Room at the Lindsborg Community Library, 111 S. Main St., Lindsborg. If learning Swedish is on your bucket list, put it off no longer! Gretchen Esping will be offering this beginning Swedish course. Beginning with sounds and speaking, followed by reading and writing. 2. Find a fundraiser
From 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 21, Brown’s Shoe Fit will host the Fabulous Feet Fundraiser at their location, 118 N. Main St. in McPherson. The event is sponsored by the McPherson Hospital Volunteers. Check out in-store promotions, sign up for fun door prizes and get a free shoe shine. A portion of all purchases will go towards McPherson Hospital Caring for the Future Campaign.
3. Catch a show
The magical retelling of the Gospel of Saint Matthew comes to Stage 9.
Godspell (2012 Revised Version) is the dramatic retelling of the Gospel story in the most childlike manner.
Stage 9 is located at 9 S. Main in Hutchinson. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 21 through 24 and 28 and Oct. 1; and 2 p.m. Sept. 24 and Oct. 1. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, and $10 for ages 8-14. Children must be eight-years- old to attend Stage 9 productions. Tickets may be purchased in advance online at http://stage9hutch.com, at the door, or at Apron Strings, located at Sherman and Main Street in Hutchinson.
