The Newton Church of the Brethren is celebrating their 100th anniversary of its charter.

Activities for the anniversary will begin on Oct. 1 and everyone is invited.

At 9:45 a.m., a hymn sing will be led by pianist Jim Neher. The anniversary worship begins at 10:45 a.m. including a message from J. Roger Schrock.

The congregation will provide a free lunch for attendees at noon and no reservations are required.

At 1:30 p.m., there will be a time for celebrating the congregations history, an opportunity for participants to share memories and J. Roger Schrock’s review of the worldwide work of the Church of the Brethren.

“Come and bring memories, photos, thoughts and prayers either in person or through postal or email services” is a message from the anniversary co-chairs, Cloyd and Carol Thomas.
