Matt- 26-8

Gallagher 24-10

While Gallagher is still in mourning from Saturday’s Oklahoma State loss, Matt had a triumphant weekend on the gridiron, going 5-0 in his picks. A flawless week four from Matt has given him a commanding two game lead, but there is still plenty of season left for Gallagher to climb back on top. Week four in the Big 12 was interesting to say the least. TCU dominated Oklahoma State on the road, Oklahoma survived an upset bid from Baylor, and Texas Tech showed they may be for real with a win at Houston. With only three Big 12 games this weekend, Gallagher and Matt will choose two bonus games outside the conference for five picks.

Texas at Iowa State

Gallagher- This was the hardest game for me to pick this week. I know very well the dangers of traveling to Ames, Iowa on a weekday for a night game. Texas best bring its A-Game this Thursday night. 35-30 Texas

Matt- I think USC is overrated so their Longhorn win, while good for them, was not as big a deal as people think. Iowa State is at home on Thursday so let’s give them the edge. 33-28 ISU

Baylor at Kansas State

Gallagher- Baylor showed some life against Oklahoma, but will they show up for every Big 12 game, or just for the big-boys? It will also be interesting to see how Kansas State rebounds from their loss at Vanderbilt. 33-20 KSU

Matt- I am sure KState fans will hate me for this but the Wildcats have yet to play anyone. Baylor is due for a break out win. 31-27 Baylor

No. 15 Oklahoma State at Texas Tech

Gallagher- Oklahoma State looked like a team that thought they could win if they showed up last week against TCU. Cowboys got what they deserved. It’s also not fun to go up against a Gary Patterson coached defense without two starting offensive linemen. The Cowboys get one of their lineman back this week, and an angry squad rolls over undefeated Tech. 55-35 OSU

Matt- Oklahoma State got embarrassed by TCU; Texas Tech will pay the price for it. The Cowboys are looking for redemption and will get it. 49-42 OSU

No. 2 Clemson at No. 12 Virginia Tech

Gallagher- Clemson is tested and proven so far and is going to get every team’s best shot. Virginia Tech’s best shot at home might be enough to dethrone the champs. 37-30 VT

Matt- Clemson is the National Champions until someone proves differently. The Hokies are always tough at home but, Dabo’s gang will prevail. 38-35 Clemson

No. 5 USC at No. 16 Washington State

Gallagher- I’m still skeptical of USC, but I’ve watched Luke Falk and Washington State these past couple of years, and they strike me as the Texas Tech of the Pac 12. This game starts at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, so once you’re done watching Mac County football, it should be a fun game to watch. 41-33 USC

Matt- USC gets tested for the first time this year and fails! Mike Leach and Washington State need a statement win and they’ll get it at home. 31-27 WSU
