Matt still holds a two-game lead over Gallagher.

Matt 29-10

Gallagher 27-12

There’s a lot of parity in the Big 12, and as a result the conference is producing some entertaining games. Texas began the week with a grind-it-out win at Iowa State, Kansas State outlasted Baylor’s best shot, and Oklahoma State survived Lubbock and all its horrors with a narrow win at Texas Tech. There are intriguing games this week in the Big 12, headlined by a top-25 matchup between West Virginia and TCU. Last week, Matt picked Oklahoma State, Clemson, and Washington State correctly for 3-2, while Gallagher went 3-0 in conference games, but chose wrongly with USC and Virginia Tech to also go 3-2. Matt holds on to his two game lead at the halfway point of the regular season.

Iowa State at No. 3 Oklahoma

Gallagher- Iowa State was able to hang around with Texas at home, but Oklahoma is a different animal and this game is in Norman. 49-20 OU

Matt- Iowa State has beaten N. Iowa and Akron...that’s it! Boomer Sooners roll at home. 42-13 OU

Texas Tech at Kansas

Gallagher- I told you guys I wouldn’t pick Kansas again the rest of the season, but I can’t help myself. Texas Tech is coming off an emotional loss to Oklahoma State, and they have a big-time matchup at West Virginia next week. I know Kansas will disappoint me. . . but Rock Chalk! 30-27 Kansas

Matt- Texas Tech is for real while Kansas looked respectable in losing to West Virginia. Red Raiders offense wins this, since they don’t have a defense. 56-35 Texas Tech

No. 23 West Virginia at No. 8 TCU

Gallagher- Maybe I’m still sore from TCU whooping up on my Cowboys, but I’m feeling West Virginia in a minor upset. 41-38 WVU

Matt- This is really the first real test for West Virginia this season while TCU surprised me beating Oklahoma State. Horned Frogs stay undefeated. 42-37 TCU

Kansas State at Texas

Gallagher- Kansas State always plays Texas tough and this year shouldn’t be any different. This will be an ugly game, and ugly games tend to favor Kansas State. 27-21 KSU

Matt- Central Arkansas, Charlotte and Baylor, the three wins for the Wildcats while losing to Vandy. Texas needs this win at home and before they face OU, OSU, TCU and WVU down the road. Hook ‘em Horns!! 31-28 Texas

No. 13 Miami at Florida State

Gallagher- You can throw out records when it comes to intense rivalry games like this. Miami is undefeated and Florida State has looked surprisingly average this year. But this is the game the ‘Noles get their swagger back. 27-24 FSU

Matt- Wow, seriously? I have nothing to lose in this game if I pick Miami. If they win then it helps me here. If Florida State wins it is worth the loss here for my favorite team to get the W. Don’t tell anyone in Florida but, their is a Hurricane warning in Tallahassee. 38-35 Miami
