Goessel also goes 2-0, beating Moundridge and Inman.
LITTLE RIVER — The Little River High School volleyball team hosted a modified triangular Tuesday night that included Goessel, Inman and Moundridge. The Redskins and the Bluebirds each played the Wildcats and the Teutons but did not play against each other.
In the opening matches it was Goessel defeating Inman, playing shorthanded due to injuries, 25-13, 25-13. Little River was taken to three sets by Moundridge as they prevailed 25-18, 12-25, 25-21. The match was hotly-contested on and off the court, with Moundridge coach Brian Otte picking up a yellow card midway through the final set.
A change of courts did not produce a change of outcome for the Teutons or the Wildcats. Inman squared off against Little River with the Redskins prevailing 25-18, 25-20. Moundridge played Goessel tough in their first set but the powerful Bluebird attack eventually prevailed 25-19, 25-12.
