The Canton FCE group met Oct. 12 at the home of Geneva Wedel in Moundridge. The meeting consisted of a meal using new or strange items found in grocery stores. The meal consisted of mangoes, rutabaga, jicama, tomotillo tomatoes, quinoa, vegetables and chia seed pudding. This was part of a K-State Research and Extension lesson. The display board that was made for the meeting will be used at the McPherson County Fair and for other groups in the community. The next meeting will be at Linda Hess’s home, Nov. 6 and will be “What’s in a Jar?"
