Happy Homemakers FCE met at 7 p.m. Oct. 23 at the McPherson County Extension Meeting Room with Cheryl Allison serving as hostess and Fran Stucky, co-hostesss.

The lesson, “Cooking Funky Foods”, was presented by Chris Glahn, assisted in sample preparation by Clarice Graves, Karen Spoon, Donna Smith and Wanda Waggoner.

A cash donation, to be split between McKids and Operation Warmth, was collected, as part of the Community Improvement projects for 2017.

The funky food samples, along with a dessert and drink provided by the co-hostess, were served.

The next meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 27 at the Extension Meeting Room, with Wanda Waggoner serving as hostess and Linda Ediger, co-hostess. A Christmas Party featuring a catered meal for members and guests will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 8 at the First Baptist Church, with members to bring a $5 women’s grab bag gift.
