MOUNDRIDGE — The Moundridge High School football team was down to their third string quarterback and still nearly upset ranked Prue High School (Oklahoma).

Dillon Vogts completed a pass to Noah Eichelberger for the two-point conversion, as the Wildcats went into the fourth quarter down 16-8.
Prue put the pressure on the Wildcats, scoring with 6:13 left in the fourth quarter. Less than a minute later, Kaufman scored on a three-yard rushing touchdown, then ran the two-point conversion in to cut the deficit to 22-16.
The dagger came on the ensuing kickoff as Prue returned it to the house for a 28-16 lead. Vogts scored on a one-yard touchdown with 48 seconds left to give the Wildcats a chance, but the comeback on Senior Night came six points short, 28-22.
Moundridge had 323 yards of total offense, including a balanced 172 through the air and 151 on the ground. Four Moundridge turnovers were the difference.
