ST. JOHN — Twenty-eight points in the first quarter led the Little River High School football team to a 46-0 win over St. John Thursday night. The Redskins, now 7-2, head into their playoff game at South Central on a three-game winning streak.

Graham Stephens and Levi Swenson each scored two rushing touchdowns in the first quarter to give the Redskins a comfortable lead. Stephens scored again in the second quarter, while Peyton Harvey scored on a pick-six right before halftime. Jordan Moffett scored the game’s final touchdown for Little River.

Little River only needed 197 yards of total offense to blow out St. John. The LRHS defense held the Tigers to only 54 yards of offense.

Little River, the undisputed champions of the Wheat State League, travels to South Central (8-1) for the second consecutive year. Last season, Little River lost 54-28 to the Timberwolves in the first round of state.
