The Monitor Family and Community Education Unit met Oct. 16 at Lois Neher’s home. There were five members present.
Neher gave the lesson “Character Counts!” The lesson covered the importance of caring and treating others with kindness.
Jodene Fisher, preseident, opened the meeting by asking the group to repeat the “Kansas FCE Creed.” Roll call was answered with a caring act each person had done for someone.
Monitor FCE will provide a jar of homemade jelly for a drawing at a state meeting in Salina. The group talked about “funky foods” and volunteer hours.
The next meeting will be at 6 p.m. Nov. 20 at The Cedars North Down Under Room.
