Maureen Gladys Woellhof, age 93, a longtime Manhattan, Kansas resident died Oct. 29, 2017, at The Cedars in McPherson.

Maureen was born Aug. 25, 1924, in Alma, the daughter of Wheldon and Ethel (Horne) Falk. She graduated from Alma High School.

She married Ivan William Woellhof on Nov. 8, 1942, in Abilene, Texas. They were married for over 74 years.

Maureen was a homemaker and had also worked in her store Interiors Diversified.

She was a member of the St. Luke’s Lutheran Church her entire life and helped with Vacation Bible School and with various church guilds. She was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and was a Cub Scout Den Mother for many years. She enjoyed family camping, fishing trips and quilting. She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 24, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother Gene Falk.

Survivors include her three sons Ronald L. Woellhof and his wife Jane of Fredericksburg, Texas, Barrett D. Woellhof and his wife Kelly of McPherson, and Gary W. Woellhof and his wife Judy of Lexington, Kentucky; three grandchildren; and four siblings Wanda Zeckser of Alma, Warren Falk and his wife Shirley of Topeka, Paul Falk and his wife Adeline of Topeka, and Larry Falk of Alma.

Cremation is planned with memorial services to be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 13 at the St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 330 Sunset Ave., Manhattan, Kansas, with the Rev. Michael J. Schmidt officiating. Inurnment will follow at 2 p.m. at the Alma City Cemetery in Alma.
