Matt 45-21

Gallagher 41-25

Perhaps the most exciting week of college football is nearly upon us, with multiple top 10 and top 25 showdowns across the country taking place on Saturday, Inside the Big 12, No. 6 TCU travels to No. 5 Oklahoma with the winner nearly a lock to make the conference championship. Oklahoma State and Iowa State is another top 25 game happening inside the conference, while West Virginia at Kansas State should be interesting as well. Entering week 11, Matt is holding on to a four game lead over Gallagher with three weeks remaining.

No. 15 Oklahoma State at No. 21 Iowa State

Gallagher- I’m still in too much pain to talk about Oklahoma State. Iowa State, however, still controls its own destiny in the Big 12 even after last week’s loss to West Virginia. Iowa

State, it’s been a fun year, but your Big 12 championship dreams end this Saturday. 35-31 Oklahoma State

Matt- I thought Oklahoma State would win the Big 12 but I was wrong. Iowa State on the other hand has proven they’re for real. 27-24 Iowa State

Texas Tech at Baylor

Gallagher- Texas Tech has a lot to play for at 4-5, with games against Baylor, TCU, and Texas coming up. The Red Raiders need to win two of those to reach a bowl game, so they better beat Baylor this weekend. 45-35 TTU

Matt- Don’t really have to be an Einstein to figure this one out. Baylor beat Kansas. That is like beating Bethel. 59-17 Texas Tech

West Virginia at Kansas State

Gallagher- Kansas State showed some serious fight in Lubbock last Saturday. The Wildcats will need that same fight if they are to beat West Virginia. Even though Kansas State is at home, I think West Virginia is the better team with a very explosive offense. 44-30 WVU

Matt- West Virginia seems to play to the level of their competition. Not sure if that would be up or down this week. But KState is at home so I will go with them. 24-14 K-State

Kansas at Texas

Gallagher- Well Kansas, here we are a year later. Zero conference wins since upsetting the Longhorns last year, the Jayhawks are pretty much a lock to finish winless in the Big 12 once more. Texas should be pretty motivated to end its one-game losing streak to Kansas. 41-7 Texas

Matt-Unless Kansas is playing a Texas High School team I will not be picking them; even if they were I might pick Texas. 38-20 Texas

No. 6 TCU at No. 5 Oklahoma

Gallagher- Best defense in the conference goes up against the best offense in the conference. Should be a terrific game; I’ll give a slight advantage to the Sooners because they are used to big-time games and they are at home. But a TCU win would not surprise me in the slightest. 30-27 OU

Matt- If I pick against Oklahoma they will most definitely win. Maybe they will if I pick them too. 20-14 OU

No. 3 Notre Dame at No. 7 Miami

Gallagher- Notre Dame has impressively defeated some decent teams this year; Miami has a nice win over Virginia Tech, but nothing more. I’ll take the battle-tested team on the road. 31-24 ND

Matt- The only time I have ever liked Notre Dame is when Holtz coached there. I think this will be a grinder. 17-16 Miami
