Warren Lee Vogel, 75, of McPherson, passed away on Nov. 23, 2017, surrounded by family at McPherson Hospital. Warren retired from Johns Manville where he worked in the warehouse.
Warren was born on Nov. 16, 1942, in Marion, the son of Roland, Sr. and Leah (Hopp) Vogel. He graduated from Marion High School. He also attended and played basketball at Hutchinson Community College and University of Arkansas. On Aug. 26, 1962, Warren was united in marriage to Carol Sue Conyers in Marion.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, McPherson.
Survivors include: his wife, Carol of the home; two sons, Stan Vogel and wife, Shelley, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Matt Vogel and wife, Annette, of Warsaw, Missouri; sister-in-law, Sonja Vogel of Chanute; and four grandchildren, Garret (Melissa) Vogel, Katelyn Vogel, Abigail Vogel, and Rachel Vogel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland Vogel, Sr. and Leah Carnahan, and brother, Roland Vogel, Jr.
A visitation was held from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
The memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 28, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Karen Rice Ratzlaff and the Rev. Darren Frazier officiating. The inurnment will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at Claney Cemetery, Marion.
