Jacolin “Jackie” Lee (Dillon) Haworth, 89, Canton, passed away Nov. 25, 2017 in Goessel, with her husband, Lloyd, at her bedside. She was born in South Haven on Nov. 15, 1928 to Ellison and Viola (Kerr) Dillon. She was married to Lloyd on Dec. 31, 1948. They were blessed with three children, three grandsons, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Vernon Dillon; and her daughter, Tarrie Haworth. She is survived by her husband, of the home; children, Georgia Haworth, Canton, and William “Bill” Haworth, Florence, Kentucky; grandsons, Christian (Molly) Tanner, Dearborn, Missouri, Jeremy Haworth, Canton, and William Haworth, Florence, Kentucky; great-grandchildren, Stephen (Marissa) Tanner, Abby Tanner, Josh Tanner and Emma Tanner, Dearborn, Missouri; great-great-granddaughter, Harper Tanner, Dearborn, Missouri; sisters, Rose Burroughs, Norfolk, Virginia, Shirley Schneidewind, Arkansas City, Mary Lou Fuller, Carson City, Nevada, and Kay Langley, Ada, Oklahoma; brothers, Randall Dillon, Valley Center, and Dane Dillon, Wichita; numerous nieces and nephews.
Jackie really enjoyed painting, going to garage sales, mushroom hunting, fishing, spending time with family and reading her bible. She was of the Christian faith. She had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. She was never shy to start a conversation with a complete stranger and deeply believed in the Golden Rule.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Bethesda Home Chapel in Goessel. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
