1. Cookies with Mrs. Claus
On Dec. 16, the public is invited to stop by from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First Bank Kansas, at 118 N. Main St. in Lindsborg to enjoy some cookies and hot cocoa with Mrs. Claus. There will be sugar cookies for the kids to decorate and hot chocolate for all to enjoy.
2. Winter Wonder
Enjoy Winter Wonderland in McPherson at 317 E. Seitz, just three blocks south of the fire station on Oak Street. Holiday lights and train rides will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. for kids of all ages, and refreshments will be available at the depot. Santa will be visiting in the evening on Dec. 16.
3. Tram tour
The Maxwell Wildlife Refuge will host the annual Christmas on the Prairie event starting at 10 a.m. Dec. 16.
Winter tram rides start at Maxwell Wildlife Refuge, 2565 Pueblo Road in Canton. Attendees will ride out on the tram to view elk and bison herds. Hot cocoa and cookies will be served as a pioneer storyteller entertains around the Christmas tree following the tour.
