Despite already holding a 21-11 advantage at halftime, Elyria Christian School's Lady Eagles cranked it up in the second half and outscored Peabody-Burns 21-6 in the final two quarters to roll to a 25-point, 42-17 victory on Tuesday.

Bailey Unruh led the offensive attack with 15 points as seven Lady Eagles put a minimum of two points on the scoreboard. While only scoring six points, Christin Vetter had a huge game with nine rebounds and getting eight steals on defense.

“It was fun night to try to do some different things defensively for our girls," said Lady Eagles head coach Greg Fields. "I wanted to keep them focused throughout the game and be ready for changes. I thought they responded well and were very active. Christin (Vetter) was outstanding with eight steals, while Audra (Boerger) didn’t have a big night looking at stats, but she was incredibly disruptive with a lot of deflections. Bailey (Unruh) was also great defensively for us and carried a lot of the load on offense. Brekken (Anderson) did her part to increase our three-point percentage tonight by going two-for-two. We have needed more of an outside presence on offense, and our guards are definitely improving there.”

Lady Eagle Scoring: Bailey Unruh 15, Brekken Anderson 6, Christin Vetter 6, Ania Shultz 5, Melea Redenbaugh 5, Makenzie Archer 3, Abby Ediger 2.
