LINDSBORG, Kan. – The Swedes made easy work of the York College Panthers tonight winning by a score of 78-51.

In a game where they never trailed, the Swedes got off to a hot start tonight with a 9-0 scoring run before the Panthers were able to get on the board. Bethany's defense was key in the first quarter success forcing seven York turnovers. Although the Panthers stayed in the game, the Swedes kept them at a distance leading by seven at the end of the first. In the second quarter the Swedes gained momentum forcing seven more Panther turnovers and doubling their lead at the end of the half.

The Swedes kept their big lead through the third quarter with their defense continuing to be key. The offense picked up to match the Swedes defense in the fourth quarter increasing their lead to 28 at one point and finishing with a 27-point lead and forcing 24 Panther turnovers overall.

The Swedes high scorer was Sydney Ahaneku, senior forward, with 11. Cassidy Enns, sophomore forward added eight while Sarah Bartel, junior guard added seven. Alex Tyson, junior forward contributed eight rebounds while Lauren Welsch, sophomore guard added four assists.
