While the numbers participating didn’t seem like a lot, the MAC Wrestling Club still managed to get three first place finishes in one meet and a total of three second-place finishes in two meets.

At the Greg Grater Classic in Clay County, MAC Wrestlers got three first-place medals from Carter Rinker, Bryson VanEaton and Colt Harlin, while Dalton VanEaton took a second.

At the Kansas Star Casino Auditorium in Maize, Brock Richardson and Sarah Hitt earned second-place finishes at the Battle of the Belt Tournament.

Coming up next for the MAC Wrestlers will be on Saturday, February 10 at the Newton Open/Novice Tournament.

Coach Lance Engel is looking for volunteers to work on Feb. 17 when the MAC Wrestlers will be hosting a tournament at Canton/Galva High School. If interested in volunteering, contact Lance or Lennie Engel at 620-241-5679.

On Feb. 25, the MAC Wrestlers will help host the War of the Roses Kansas Championship Girls Wrestling Tournament at Central Christian College in the Ed Pyle Sports Complex.
