WICHITA — McPherson College sophomore guard Cami Richardson has been named Third Team All-Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) for the second consecutive year as the league announced its 2017-2018 all-conference teams and special award winners Tuesday.
Junior Sonerka White senior Brooklyn Coe both received honorable mention from the league's coaches. Coe is a repeat honorable mention selection.
Richardson started all 29 regular season games, averaging 10.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.6 blocks per game. Heading into the Wednesday night's KCAC Tournament first-round game against Friends, she leads the team in assists (78), steals (48), and blocks (17), sits second in rebounds (158) and is the team's third-leading scorer (293). Richardson scored a career-high 24 points behind a career-high-tying five 3-pointers against Bethany on Jan. 17. She ranks in the top 15 in the KCAC in steals (7th), assists (8th), blocks (12th) and total rebounds (12th).
White has played in 28 of 29 games, starting 20 and is the Bulldogs' leading scorer at 13.1 points per game. She also averages 3.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.4 assists per game. White topped 20 points on eight occasions, including a career-high 26 points in her collegiate debut Oct. 30 against Randall. She ranks ninth among KCAC players in scoring, 13th in 3-point field goals made (38) and 12th in steals (41).
Coe also started all 29 regular-season games, ranking second on the team in scoring at 10.7 points per game. She shot 40.1 percent from the field, while averaging 3.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.0 steals per game.
The Bulldogs (14-15, 10-12 KCAC) qualified for the KCAC Tournament as the No. 8 seed and faces top-seeded and No. 21-ranked Friends University (22-7, 20-2 KCAC) at 7 p.m. Wednesday night at Garvey Physical Education Center in Wichita.
