Manhattan, Kan. — It was fun while lasted for the Inman High School girls basketball team. They are one and done after falling to top-seeded Central Plains High School 55-30 on Wednesday. Central Plains will move on to the semifinals while the Lady Teutons will head back home.
The Lady Teutons weren’t able to keep up with Central Plains’ offense, only scoring in single-digits each quarter, while the Oilers led 17-7 in the first and remained in double-figures.
Emily Baker for the Oilers led the entire game with 29 points. Olivia Clark was the only player for the Lady Teutons to be in double-digets with 10 points. The Lady Teutons were 0-11 in 3-point attempts.
With the Inman girls eliminated, they now end their season with a record of 16-9. The Inman High School boys basketball team will play their opening round against Central Plains at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
