The next regular meeting of the Canton City Council will be at 6 p.m. March 14 at the Canton City Hall, 100 S. Main St. in Canton.
The Galva City Council met for a regular meeting on March 5.
A financial statement was presented showing a balance of $4,156,792.04.
Totals as presented are: General: $25,631.24, Water Fund: $1,501.44, Electric Fund: $47,820.22, Sewer Fund: $2,428.29, Sales Tax Fund: $1,159.90, Recreation Committee: $86.76.Total is $78,627.85
During public input, Naomi Ford presented on behalf of Old Empire Days. She stated they will hold Old Empire Days on Aug. 25. Council stated they will support this event as they have in the past.
Bo Moddelmog along with Lisa Faust was here to present the new official City of Galva website, http://cityofgalvaks.com. Council voted to approve the website and to pay Bo Moddelmog $800. Council thanked Bo for all his work.
Council adopted Ordinance No. 370, which provides for the repeal of certain ordinances not included therein, excepting certain ordinances and saving certain accrued rights and liabilites.
Council approved the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Legal Service Agreement with Harry Weelborg.
Council adopted the Emergency Response Plan City of Galva Wastewater System McPherson County.
Council voted to give $200 towards the construction of the Kindergarten Float along with the use of the city garage building.
The new insurance package and premium for the city was presented. Council voted to renew the insurance package with Geneseo Insurance for $30,749.
Council voted to pay R & R Builders $4,926. for the renovation and roof repairs done at the police office.
Brantley Unruh gave his monthly report. He stated they had put a lot of salt out for the last few ice storms, did a lot of tree trimming, had a couple sewer clean outs, water samples taken, and broke concrete up in trailer park and hauled off. He also stated Clarke Well Service had been here and got Well #2 working again.
Council voted to accept the bid for the exact amount of $8,265 from Central Kansas Construction for the concrete strip on west side of Woodbury Market on Mulberry Street. Any changes must be approved from council.
The next regular meeting of the Galva City Council will be at 7 p.m. on April 2 at the Galva City Hall, 208 S. Main St.
McPherson County RWD #6
The annual meeting of McPherson County Rural Water District No. 6 will be held at 6:30 p.m. on March 20 at the Lindsborg Senior Center.
The next regular meeting of the Inman City Council will be at 7 p.m. on March 12 at the Inman City Office.
The next regular meeting of the Lindsborg City Council will be at 6:30 p.m. March 19 in the Council Chamber of Lindsborg City Hall, 101 S. Main St. in Lindsborg.
The McPherson Board of Public Utilities will meet at 3 p.m. on March 19 at the BPU office, 401 W. Kansas Ave. in McPherson.
The next regular meeting of the Marquette City Council will be at 7 p.m. March 12 at the Marquette City Hall, 113 N. Washington St. in Marquette.
McPherson City Commission
The next regular meeting of the McPherson City Commission will be at 8:30 a.m. March 12 in the Municipal Center, 400 E. Kansas Ave. in McPherson.
McPherson County Commission
The next regular meeting of the McPherson County Commission will be at 9 a.m. March 12 in the fifth floor Conference Room of the First Bank of Kansas Building, 122 W. Marlin St. in McPherson.
The next regular meeting of the McPherson Recreation Commission will be at noon on April 12 at Tres Amigos.
The McPherson Area Solid Waste Utility board of directors' meeting will be held at 5 p.m. on March 13 at the transfer station.
The next regular meeting of the Moundridge City Council will be at 5:45 p.m. April 2 at 225 S. Christian St. in Moundridge.
New Gottland Township
The next regular meeting of the New Gottland Township Council will be held at 6 p.m. April 3 at the New Gottland Lutheran Church at 1822 17th Ave.
