Thirteen members of Happy Homemakers FCE met at 7 p.m. on March 26 at the home of Jean Cooper, with Clarice Graves serving as co-hostess.
The District Recognition Day/SC Area Meeting will be held at the Zion Mennonite Church, in Moundridge at 9:30 a.m. on April 9 with Rosemary Fisher, of the Moundridge Historical Association and Moundridge Arts Council, serving as speaker.
Rosemary, her husband, the mayor, son and daughter are active in many organizations and celebrations, promoting and preserving the history, as well as today’s quality of life, in Moundridge and winning the second quarterly Hometown Hero Award from the Citizens State Bank and the Home State Bank.
Jean Rowland, of the Education Committee, shared information on “Alzheimer Fighting Superfoods,” which can decrease the severity of symptoms of the disease.
The lesson, “Character Counts—Citizenship” was given by Barbara Chapman, with each member sharing how they had benefitted from hearing her presentation.
Refreshments were served by the hostess and co-hostess.
The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. on April 23 at the McPherson County Extension Meeting Room.
