McPherson post office received a suspicious envelope on April 3.

At 7:20 a.m. April 3, the McPherson Police Department received a phone call from the post office, located at 115 E. Kansas Ave. in McPherson, about a suspicious envelope.

Officers responded and turned the letter over to the U.S. Postal Inspector, who determined that the letter was not hazardous or dangerous.

This even occurred a week after a similar event at a post office in Salina, and a few weeks after packages containing bombs were found in Texas.
