The fifth grade Destination Imagination group has worked tirelessly this year to raise money for the McPherson Humane Society and the McPherson Animal Shelter.

Fifth-graders Alivia Stucky, Eve Hanschu and Taniah Anderson at Lincoln Elementary School came up with $750 in total by having a pancake feed and bake sale and presented a $375 check to the two organizations on Monday afternoon. The team participated in the Destination Imagination State Tournament last weekend in Lawrence and placed first in their category. The girls’ project needed to make a difference their community. They completed it and raised more than $600.
