Loren Lee Johnson, 87, formerly of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Via Christi Village, Wichita,
He was a retired carpet and tile installer.
Loren was born on February 4, 1931, in Little River, the son of Carl W. and Myrtle (Brig-gs) Johnson.
He graduated from Little River High School in 1949.
He was united in marriage to Mary Ann (Sawatzky) Winter on October 20, 1973, in McPherson.
He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, McPherson.
He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post #24 and VFW Post No. 2715.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary Ann Johnson of Wichita; four children, Tom (Debra) Winter of Wamego, KS, Diane Nelson of Wichita, KS, Brad (Patty) Johnson of Oregon, and Babette Hubbard of Spokane, Wash.; sister, Nadine (Norman) Crandall of Little River; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Brock, and brothers, Virgil (Faye) Johnson and Rodney Johnson.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 12, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, McPherson, with the Rev. Dale Dumperth officiating.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the church. Burial with Military Honors will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
