HIGHLIGHTS
McPherson Police
An officer filed a report at 8:04 a.m. Tuesday regarding a theft of a brass nozzle, valued at $200, from the 200 block of N. Lakeside between midnight July 23 and 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers, EMS personnel and firefighters responded to the 1500 block of N. Walnut at 11:31 a.m. Wednesday for a state-reportable, injury accident. A vehicle, driven by Lynna Kaloupek, McPherson, struck a mailbox.

Officers responded to a state-reportable, non-injury accident at First and North 81 Bypass at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday. The drivers were Dale Powell and Aaron Potter, both of McPherson. Powell was cited for making an improper turn.

Sheriff
A deputy arrested a 36-year-old male at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday for aggravated indecent liberties with a child after a reported incident involving a 13-year-old female that occurred at a rural Inman residence Tuesday morning.

Deputies, McPherson EMS personnel and Inman firefighters responded to a state-reportable, injury accident on Comanche Road, .1 mile west of 5th Avenue, at 5:22 a.m. Wednesday. The driver was Stoney Strange, rural Inman. A patient was transported to Memorial Hospital, McPherson.

At 10:14 a.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to the 1400 block of Mohawk Road reference a reported arson that occurred in the 1400 block of Mohawk Road between 4 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday. A 1993 Dodge Dakota pickup, valued at $700, was destroyed. The investigation is continuing.

At 6:31 p.m. Sunday, an officer filed a report regarding a theft of a GPS, valued at $280, from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 1100 block of Countryside between 6 p.m. July 19 and 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

At 3:55 p.m. Monday, an officer filed a report reference a burglary and theft that occurred from a vehicle parked in the 500 block of E. Northview between midnight and 9 a.m. Monday. A GPS, valued at $250, was taken.

Sheriff
At 5:30 a.m. Sunday, deputies, McPherson EMS personnel and Inman firefighters responded to a state-reportable, possible-injury accident on K-61, .1 mile north of 8th Avenue. A Hutchinson male was arrested for driving under the influence and transporting an open container. He was booked into the McPherson County Jail and released on $709 bond. No patient was transported.

At 3:10 p.m. Sunday, a deputy filed a report reference burglary and theft that occurred in the 1100 block of 29th Avenue. Cash, coins and a briefcase were taken. Loss is reported at $5,025.

MOUNDRIDGE -- An officer, EMS personnel and firefighters responded to a state-reportable, injury accident in the 100 block of S. Christian. A vehicle, driven by Paul E. Ratzlaff, Moundridge, struck two parked vehicles. A patient was transported to Mercy Hospital.

MARQUETTE -- At 9:14 p.m. Monday, an officer and a deputy sheriff stopped a vehicle at Swedonia and Sixth. A Lindsborg male was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal use of a weapon and a Salina Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear. He was booked into the McPherson County Jail and held in lieu of $5,550 bond. A Missouri male was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal registration, no proof of insurance, driving while suspended, trafficking of contraband into a correctional facility and a McPherson County District Court warrant for probation violation. He was booked into the McPherson County Jail and held in lieu of $11,800 bond.

At 1:30 a.m. Friday, officers responded to the 600 block of Sonora reference suspicious activity. A male subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and minor in consumption. He was booked into the McPherson County Jail and held in lieu of $1,100 bond. A bicycle, stolen from the 1200 block of S. Main, was impounded.

At 2:16 p.m. Friday, officers and a deputy sheriff executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Pheasant Run. A 22-year-old male was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the McPherson County Jail and released on $1,000 bond. Additional charges on a 20-year-old female are pending.

Officers responded to the 200 block of N. Ash at 11:03 p.m. Friday for a disturbance. A male subject was arrested for obstruction of legal process. He was booked into the McPherson County Jail and released on $221 bond. A female subject was arrested for disorderly conduct. She was booked into the McPherson County Jail and released on $126 bond. A second male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct. He was booked into the McPherson County Jail and released on $126 bond.

Sheriff
A deputy responded to a state-reportable, non-injury accident on Cherokee Road, .1 mile west of 2nd Avenue, at 1:17 p.m. Saturday. The driver was Chase T. Dirks, rural Inman.

Deputies responded to a state-reportable, non-injury, vehicle-vs.-deer accident on 14th Avenue, .5 mile north of Quivera Road, at 9:10 p.m. Saturday. The driver was Michael L. Plunkett, rural Lindsborg.

Officers responded to a state-reportable, non-injury accident in the 100 block of E. Elizabeth at 11:35 a.m. Thursday. The drivers were Mary L. Crum and Judith Dobson, both of McPherson.

At 12:47 p.m. Thursday, officers and a deputy sheriff responded to Kansas and Maxwell for a possible fight. An information report was filed regarding a verbal disturbance.

Officers filed a report at 5:08 p.m. Thursday regarding a theft that occurred in the 1600 block of E. Euclid between 2:08 p.m. July 14 and 2 p.m. Thursday. Two electric muscle stimulators, valued at $7,000, were taken.

Sheriff
A deputy stopped a vehicle on I-135, milepost 71, at 1:39 a.m. Thursday. A male subject was arrested for driving under the influence. He was cited for failure to maintain a single lane, transporting an open container and no driver’s license. He was booked into the McPherson County Jail and held in lieu of $500 bond.

At 2:01 a.m. Thursday, deputies responded to a state-reportable, non-injury accident on I-135, milepost 69. The drivers were Dremene Smith, Alaska, and Boyd Howard, Texas.

Officers responded to the 1700 block of N. Main at 9:32 p.m. Sunday for a verbal disturbance. A female subject was arrested on two Potter County, Texas, District Court warrants for forgery. She was booked into the McPherson County Jail and held in lieu of $17,500 bond.

An officer filed a report at 3:06 p.m. Monday regarding criminal damage to a vehicle parked in the 400 block of S. Walnut between 7 p.m. Sunday and 2:30 p.m. Monday. A window was damaged. Damage is reported at $200.

An officer filed a report at 5:19 p.m. Monday regarding a possible scam. A McPherson resident has invested $13,000 as of this time. The investigation is continuing.

An officer filed a report at 8:04 p.m. Monday regarding a dog bite that occurred in the 1600 block of N. Walnut. The animal was current on its vaccinations. The owner was advised of the quarantine procedure. The victim was a 47-year-old male. EMS personnel responded and transported the victim to Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Sheriff
At 2:02 a.m. Sunday, a deputy stopped a vehicle at 29th Avenue and Iron Horse Road. A Canton male was arrested for driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and minor in consumption. He was booked into the McPherson County Jail and released on $1,100 bond.

A deputy filed a report at 1:04 p.m. Sunday reference arson to a mailbox in the 100 block of 2nd Avenue. No damage estimate was available.

At 6 p.m. Sunday, a deputy, a Marquette officer, McPherson EMS personnel and Windom firefighters responded to a state-reportable, injury accident on 5th Avenue, .1 mile north of Mohawk Road. The driver was Darell A. Weber, Jr., Marquette. One patient was transported to Memorial Hospital, McPherson.

HIGHLIGHTS
McPherson Police
At 4:12 p.m. Friday, officers checked the welfare of a Great Bend male in the 500 block of Highway 81 Bypass who misplaced his vehicle, and who had also fallen down and cut his head. The vehicle was located downtown, and the individual was transported to Memorial Hospital.

At 4:37 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to the 500 block of E. Northview regarding a possible battery between two females. An information report was filed, and officers remained on the scene for a civil standby.

At 9:10 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to the 100 block of S. Augustus for a disturbance. A McPherson male was taken into protective custody, transported to Memorial Hospital for evaluation and later transported to Larned State Hospital.

Officers responded to the 600 block of N. Walnut at 11:24 p.m. Saturday for a verbal disturbance. A Little River male was arrested for domestic battery, criminal damage to property, minor in consumption and disorderly conduct. He was booked into the McPherson County Jail and held in lieu of $746 bond.

Sheriff
At 4:32 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to a state-reportable, non-injury accident on US-56, .2 mile east of 8th Avenue. The drivers were Lonnie Starcher, Ohio, and Darrell Willcut, Rantoul. Willcut was cited for failure to maintain a single lane.

Deputies stopped a vehicle at 27th Avenue and Eisenhower Road at 2:20 a.m. Saturday. A Hesston male was arrested for driving under the influence and minor in consumption. He also was cited for failure to maintain a single lane, refusal of a preliminary breath test and supplying alcohol to a minor. He was booked into the McPherson County Jail and released on $600 bond. A Newton female passenger was cited for minor in consumption.

MOUNDRIDGE -- At 9:32 a.m. Friday, an officer, firefighters and EMS personnel responded to Cole and Goering for a state-reportable, injury accident. The driver was Lucille Moddelmog, Moundridge. The subject was transported to Mercy Hospital in a privately owned vehicle.

An officer responded to the 600 block of Foxfire at 12:29 a.m. Thursday for a domestic disturbance. A male subject was arrested for criminal damage to property. He was booked into the McPherson County Jail and released on $171 bond. A female subject was arrested for domestic battery. She was booked into the McPherson County Jail and released on $296 bond.

At 8:02 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to a state-reportable, non-injury accident at Walnut and Sutherland. The drivers were Levi A. Saunders and Barbara Linscheid, both of McPherson.

Officers responded to a minor, non-injury accident on private property in the 1300 block of N. Main at 4:52 p.m. Thursday. The drivers were Alex Glidden and Timothy Rhea, both of McPherson.

An officer filed a report at 8:32 p.m. Thursday regarding criminal damage to property that occurred in the 1000 block of W. Kansas at 8 p.m. on July 9. A vehicle was keyed. Damage is estimated at $300.

Sheriff
A deputy responded to a state-reportable, non-injury accident on private property in the 2000 block of S. Main, McPherson, at 3:50 a.m. Thursday. A vehicle, driven by George Ann Cavanaugh, McPherson, struck a parked vehicle. Cavanaugh was cited for no proof of insurance.

At 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, an officer filed an information report regarding a dog bite that occurred in Wall Park at 1 p.m. Wednesday. A male subject was bitten by a small, black, curly-haired dog. Officers are trying to locate the owner who was driving a gold van. A small, white, curly-haired dog was also present.

An officer responded to a state-reportable, non-injury accident in the 1100 block of S. Maple at 4:11 p.m. Wednesday. A vehicle, driven by Martha Mehler, McPherson, struck a parked vehicle. Mehler was cited for improper backing.

An officer responded to a state-reportable, non-injury accident in the 400 block of N. Elm at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday. A vehicle, driven by Oscar Banuelos del Real, McPherson, struck a parked vehicle. Banuelos del Real was cited for improper backing.

Officers stopped a go-cart in the 800 block of Barber at 8:54 p.m. Wednesday. A McPherson male was arrested for driving under the influence and driving an unregistered vehicle in the street. He was booked into the McPherson County Jail and released on $2,600 bond.

Sheriff
A deputy filed a report at 1:16 p.m. Wednesday regarding a vehicle burglary and theft that occurred on Old 81, north of Eisenhower Road. A GPS unit, medicine and cash were taken between 10 p.m. Tuesday and noon Wednesday. Loss is reported at $400.

An officer filed an information report at 11:51 p.m. Monday reference criminal damage to property that occurred at the Wall Park sports complex. Graffiti was spray-painted on a bathroom wall.

A Hillsboro male was arrested for felony driving under influence, felony possession of marijuana, driving left of center, refusal of a preliminary breath test and transporting an open container.
