HIGHLIGHTS
McPherson police
At 9:51 a.m. Wednesday, an officer took a report of a possible false fire alarm that caused firefighters to respond to the 1500 block of East Gordon on Tuesday. The investigation continues.  

An officer took a report at 1:25 p.m. Wednesday of witness intimidation that occurred Jan. 30 by a known person.

Sheriff
A deputy responded at 12:48 p.m. Wednesday to 20th Avenue and Smoky Valley Road for a noninjury accident. A city of McPherson fire truck responding to a call nearby backed into an unattended and illegally parked vehicle while turning around.

Fire
Firefighters, EMS personnel and an officer responded at 12:26 p.m. Wednesday to a possible structure fire at First and Ash. Everything was OK.

Area
MOUNDRIDGE - Firefighters responded to a fire on Buckskin Road, east of Interstate 135, at 6:32 p.m. Wednesday. It turned out to be a controlled burn.

CANTON - Firefighters from Canton and Galva, along with Canton EMS personnel, responded at 9:58 p.m. Wednesday to a structure fire in the 100 block of North Main.
